What this site does with your data

Short version: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and nothing is ever sold. The only thing that leaves your browser is a question you choose to type into the AI guide.

No cookies, and no cookie banner

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or third-party embeds. Typefaces are self-hosted rather than loaded from a font CDN, so visiting a page makes requests to this domain only.

No consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to. If analytics are ever added, they will be cookieless, and this page will say so first.

The AI guide — the only feature that sends data

The guide answers questions about my published work. When you submit a question, only that question is sent — there is no account, no conversation history, and no identifying profile attached by this site.

• Where it goes: the question is relayed through OpenRouter to a free NVIDIA language model. OpenRouter and the model provider may log prompts for security and service operation under their own privacy policies.
• Why: to generate the answer you asked for. The legal basis is your request — you initiate it by typing and submitting.
• International transfer: OpenRouter and the model provider process data in the United States, outside the EEA/UK.
• Retention: this site does not store your question. It is discarded when the request completes.
• Please don’t type personal or confidential information. Treat it as a public question. The guide is deliberately restricted to my portfolio facts and refuses unrelated topics, but you should still not put anything private into it.

Server logs and abuse prevention

The site is hosted on Netlify, which records standard web request data — including IP address — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. The guide endpoint is additionally rate limited to six requests per minute per IP address to keep it from being used as a free AI proxy. That limit is enforced by the hosting platform; this site keeps no copy of it.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure.

One item stored in your browser

If you pause the rotating panel on the front page, that single preference is remembered in your browser’s local storage (rotator:paused) so the carousel stays paused as you move between pages. It contains a single yes/no value, identifies nobody, and is never transmitted anywhere.

This is functional storage that you asked for by pressing the button, which is why it needs no consent. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Writing to abdurfreelance@gmail.com means I hold your message and address in order to reply. I keep it only as long as the conversation is useful, and I do not add you to any list.

Third parties

• Netlify — hosting and server logs.
• OpenRouter and its model provider — generating AI guide answers, only when you submit a question.

There are no others. No analytics vendor, no ad network, no social tracker, no CRM.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, you can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and request a portable copy. Email me and I will act on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

In practice this site holds almost nothing about you: no account, no profile, no stored question. Most requests will be answered by explaining that, and a deletion request is satisfied by clearing your browser’s site data.
